Revd. Lizzie is currently not working due to undergoing intensive treatment. Lizzie is thankful for your continued support and prayers.

We are hoping that Lizzie will be back to full duties by the end of October.


St. Margaret’sChurch will not be in use from 8 September until the end of November due to building work.

Worship during this time will be in the church room, with Feast all-age worship taking place in Reydon Village Hall. Special arrangements will be in place for funerals and memorial services.


New course beginning 18 September – Pilgrim – a course for the Christian Journey. 

An informal course with teaching, discussion and prayer for enquirers, for people who have never been to church or as a refresher and a chance to ask questions.  6 Thursday evenings beginning 18 September at 730pm in Wangford Community Centre.  Cost of materials £5.  Please contact Revd. Joan Lyon on 01502 578171 or if you would like to come.



On Sunday 21 September, there will be a Deanery Confirmation Service with Bishop David at 4pm in Holy Trinity Church, Barsham. Please hold our candidates from Sole Bay in your prayers:

Kingfisher Sinfonietta concert at Blythburgh Church on Sunday 21 September at 6.30pm with music by Elgar, Elgar Howarth, Myaskovsky, Stravinsky, Walton and Suk.  Tickets from  Halesworth Bookshop 01986 873840 & at the door.

The William Alwyn Festival begins on Sunday 5th October at 6pm with a Festival Evensong with the Blythburgh Singers singing a Festival Commission and First Performance of Patric Standford’s anthem “Lord, how majestic is thy name”.  This growing festival offers a range of events including film, poetry readings and music in Southwold and Blythburgh.  Please see leaflets in church.
