A full programme of musical treats will be aired over the weekend of Friday, 6th February to Sunday 8th February 2015, to celebrate the successful completion of a major reordering project at St Margaret’s Church, Reydon.

Starting on Friday evening, at 7pm, there will be showing of a sing-along ‘Sound of Music’ film – costumes optional!  This will be a free event, but tickets will be required.  Traditional interval nourishment, ice creams & popcorn, will also be available to complete your cinematic experience!  So get your ticket & come along to sing along with a few of your favourite things!

There will be a children’s ‘Scratch Choir’ workshop on Saturday, 7th February, starting at 10am.  Then at 2.30pm, the Wrentham Band will in concert followed in the evening by another concert given by Mike Webb, sub organist at Wymondham Abbey & soloist Joanne Knight.

On Sunday morning at 9.30am there will be a Parish Eucharist & Dedication service, with The Rt Revd Dr David Thomson Acting Bishop of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich (including Junior Church Activities).

North Suffolk Youth Choir will also be performing in the afternoon at 3pm before the weekend closes with a Celebration Service in church at 6pm.

The church will also be open on Friday, 6th February from 10am – 4pm, with a soup lunch available from 12noon.  During the ‘open Church’ session, various organists will take the opportunity to entertain you throughout the day.

The weekend provides a wonderful opportunity to see St Margaret’s ‘refreshed & rejuvenated’, ready to face the future with a more flexible, open space in the nave & chancel, providing opportunities hitherto denied as it faces the challenge of providing a range of activities identified in the recent Reydon Village Plan, whilst retaining its integrity as a place of worship for all.

Tickets for all concerts will be available throughout January, from Howell’s & Jolley Pharmacy in Reydon, Southwold VHC & Reydon Church after worship on Sundays or by contacting Sarah Britten on 724617, Pat Hendrickson on 724932 or Rich Henderson on 722192 .

We look forward to welcoming you all!
