From Revd Rich Henderson

On 15th November it was announced that I have been appointed as Priest in Charge of the Parish of Beccles:St.Michael & St.Luke. This comes following a period of deep personal prayer and discernment for me and after seeking the wisdom of others.

I have been truly blessed living and serving in the Sole Bay team for the past six and a half years. I have been particularly blessed in and through Reydon as a community, as a family we will miss living in such a wonderful village. There is much to give thanks for and there will be time to do that before I leave. I will continue to serve here over the next couple of months, ensuring there is a smooth transition and I particularly look forward to celebrating Christmas together.

There will be a Team Eucharist for Candlemas on Sunday 31st January, 11am at Reydon, this will be my Team farewell. On Sunday 7th February I will take my last service as Vicar of Reydon. The date of my licensing in Beccles is still to be arranged and I will share this information via the Team notices.

Do hold us as a family in your prayers as we prepare for this time of change and also Simon and the Team Council as they make important decisions about the future shape and staffing of the Team.

I thank God for all that has been done in and through His church and all that will be done in the future. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
