FUNERAL AND THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR THE LIFE OF SUE DOY

The funeral of Sue Doy will take place in St Edmund’s Church, Southwold on Thursday 12 September at 12.00pm.  Please hold Sue, her family and many friends in your prayers at this time.

 

Reydon Scarecrow Trail, September 14th and 15th – ‘Name That Tune’

45 Scarecrows will be out in force for this year’s Scarecrow Trail over the weekend of 14th & 15th September.  Programmes (£3) available from Barbrooks, Clancy’s, Little Gems and Boyden Stores and the Village Hall over the weekend.  All money raised will go to the Reydon Christmas Lights. 

Children will be able to follow the Sunflower Trail and there will be colouring sheets available at the Village Hall throughout the weekend.

The Trail will run on both days from 11am, until 6pm on Saturday and until 5pm on Sunday, with delicious homemade refreshments on sale all weekend. We look forward to seeing you there!

 

A JAZZ EVENING IN MEMORY OF SIDI SCOTT – SATURDAY 14 SEPTEMBER. ST PETER & ST PAUL, WANGFORD AT 7.30PM

In memory of Sidi, Martin Smith (Sidi’s son in law) and his Jazz Band, the Jazz Goats will be performing in St Peter & St Paul, Wangford on Saturday 14 September.  Tickets including a licensed bar are £10.  All funds raised will go towards the Church Restoration Fund.  Tickets are available now through Southwold Arts Centre (tel: 01502 722572) www.ticketsource.co.uk or Rev Alan.

 

REYDON CINEMA AT ST MARGARET’S. THURSDAY 19 SEPTEMBER AT 2PM

The next feature will be “Stan and Ollie”.   Critics acclaimed the film saying ‘Coogan and Reilly’s performances are among the best either has ever given. 

This film, which pays wonderfully funny tribute to two comic legends, richly deserves them.’

Cost of refreshments £2 per person. All Welcome.

 

Team Service September 29 at 11:15am at St Margaret, Reydon

Our next Team Service will be on Sunday 29 September which is the Feast Day of St Michael and All Angels. We will welcome a guest speaker at our service, Charles Storer, (son of Jack) who will talk about his work for the Charity Hope and Aid Direct which works to provide support for the world’s refugees.  Please put the date in your diary to attend and hear about this most important work.

 

29th September – Deanery Evensong to celebrate St. Michael and all Angels.   

3pm St. Andrew’s Church, Wissett.  Guest preacher Revd. Jeanette Gosney, acting Archdeacon of Suffolk.
