Meeting for All Those Involved in Children’s Work: Tuesday 26 September

Rev Alan is hosting a meeting for all those involved in Children’s Work across the Team on Tuesday 26th September at 7.30pm in St Margaret’s Reydon Church Room.  Please come along if you are currently involved or would like to be more involved in this essential ministry.


Learning from Luther Today

A day programme to mark the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, to investigate Luther’s continuing impact today on our theology and worship. We are privileged to welcome as our speakers Dr Ulrichs and Dr Oxen, theologians from Wittenberg, Germany, and Professor McFarland from Cambridge, himself a Lutheran. The day is designed for clergy and laity (and is an IME2 event), and will include presentations, discussion and reflection. Cost £10, CMD grants may be used, IME2 participants have free places. Pilgrim Course – This Autumn we will begin a group for enquirers and new Christians who want to learn more about the Christian faith.

There will be two groups. An adults’ group that will meet on a Tuesday evening led by Rev Canon Simon Pitcher at 6.00pm (venue to be confirmed), and a teenagers’ group (secondary school age) that will meet on a Thursday at 6.15pm at Reydon Vicarage led by Rev Alan Perry.  Alan’s group will begin on 5 October and Simon’s on 10 October.

The initial commitment is for six weeks (excluding half term) but we hope to continue meeting in the new year.

The group is for:

  • Those who have recently started coming to Church
  • Those who want the chance to think about the Christian faith
  • Those preparing for baptism or confirmation
  • Those who have been Christian for many years and want to visit the roots of their faith again

A Lion For the King 

The Sole Bay Team of Churches are planning a musical production of the Christmas Story, set in ancient China on Saturday 16 December at 4.00pm in Holy Trinity Blythburgh. We are looking for actors, singers and dancers of any age. There will be a Lion for the King Workshop on Saturday 14 October between 2-4pm in St Margaret, Reydon for anyone who might be interested in being involved.
