TRACK AND TRACE SYSTEM If you have a smart mobile phone and have downloaded the NHS Track and Trace App then you can use your device to scan the QR code as you come into church.  This will automatically alert you, if you have been in contact with someone who has contracted Corona Virus.

Some Services will now take place in Church, whilst others will continue to be live streamed. Services in church will take place on 11 October in St Margaret’s, Reydon at 8.00am (BCP), St Margaret’s Reydon at 9.00am (APCM) and St Edmund’s Southwold at 9.30am (CW), Holy Trinity, Blythburgh at 11.15am, and St Mary’s Uggeshall at 6pm. On the 18th Sunday after Trinity, 11 October we will live stream a CW Communion Service via Zoom at 11.15am. Compline on Zoom Thursday’s 8.30pm  The invitation and link will be emailed each Thursday. If you would like to receive this please email The liturgy will appear on your screen, and the service takes about 12-15 minutes. It is a quiet and peaceful way to end the day.

Daily Hope prayer hotline Available 24 hours a day 0800 804 8044, for those who have no or limited access to the internet offering options including hymns, prayers, reflections and advice on Covid-19.

Prayer point – We pray for all the nations of the world, especially for the poorest nations trying to cope with the Covid 19 Pandemic.  We pray for the countries trying to lift lockdown restrictions, and for those people who continue to shield or are living with anxiety.  We pray for those whose livelihoods are at risk and for all of us as we seek to return to some normality living alongside the reality of the virus and a potential second wave.

Choral Evensong is returning to Holy Trinity Blythburgh on the first Sunday of each month. Since this is a popular service, we have to be careful about numbers and distancing. To avoid disappointing anyone who might turn up only to find the church is ‘full’ we need to ask you to pre-book. ALL SOULS’ SERVICE SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER. ST EDMUND’S, SOUTHWOLD AT 3PM           We will be holding the annual year’s mind service in St Edmund’s on 1st November this year at 3pm.  In the first instance the service is an opportunity for those families for whom we have taken funerals this year to remember their loved ones.  The capacity in St Edmund’s under current conditions is around 70 people.  We understand that this is a service that many like to come to every year, and we hope that there will be capacity in church to welcome everyone who wants to attend, but we need people to book in advance.   If you would like to attend the service please e mail or phone our parish administrator tel 724 115 Also if there are any names of departed loved ones that you would like to have read out please let Tania know.

Operation Christmas Child

As in recent years, St Andrew’s & St. Margaret’s, are going to be involved in the Operation Christmas Child appeal organized by Samaritan’s Purse, whereby shoe boxes containing small gifts are sent to needy children around the world, regardless of their background or religious belief. If you are interested in taking part in this venture, which has in the past bought great joy to recipients and those creating the gifts, please contact Christine or Brian on (723023) Revd Alan (453624); Ready printed boxes & leaflets about the project are available in the Churches. Please could the boxes be returned to Church by Sunday November 8th.

Guidance regarding Financial Giving during the Crisis

Our churches are not immune from the same financial challenges as other institutions during this time.  Please continue to give, as is your custom,by Standing Order or the Parish Giving Scheme.  If you give weekly by envelopes please continue to do so. If anyone would like advice how to set up a Standing Order or join the Parish Giving Scheme please contact your PCC Treasurer or the Vicar.
