Team News 12 JulyJuly 9, 2020
The July issue of Heart & Sole is now available on our website www.solebayteamministry.co.uk/ This is located on our home page, just click the Heart & Sole logo at the bottom of the page. There will not be a printed version of this issue.
Sunday 12th July is Sea Sunday and we remember the work of The Mission to Seafarers. Many seafarers have suffered during Covid lockdown, trapped on liners and cargo vessels for months, far from home and loved ones. In Sole Bay we have often observed Sea Sunday in previous years. If anyone would like to celebrate Sea Sunday and support the Mission to Seafarers they are offering a virtual service on their website www.missiontoseafarers.org/sea-sunday on 12th July.
The Government has given permission for church services to resume in July. The Government has issued strict guidelines that we must observe. This announcement is a welcome step, but there is still a long journey ahead. We are planning to gradually re-open our Churches for worship.
Our website contains details of how to join others online and in Church for prayer, worship, study, and community life www.solebayteamministry.co.uk

Compline on Zoom Since the beginning of lockdown, the congregation of Holy Trinity have been invited to say the service of Night Prayer, or Compline, at 8.30pm each evening in their own homes. From the end of April, we have joined together for this service via Zoom each Thursday, and we are now happy to open the invitation to this service to anyone in the Team who would like to take part. Tania will share the invitation and link each Thursday in the same way that she does for Sunday zoom services. The liturgy will appear on your screen, and you will need to mute yourself for the duration of the service though we usually begin unmuted to greet each other. The service takes about 12-15 minutes and is generally lay led with different people leading each week. It is a quiet and peaceful way to end the day.
Southwold, Reydon, Uggeshall, Blythburgh, South Cove and Walberswick churches are open for private individual prayer. This is in accordance with the relaxation of Government lockdown regulations.
