As we return to worship in our churches, the same restrictions apply before the latest lockdown (e.g. wearing of face masks and social distancing).  Services will be live streamed via YouTube from St Margaret, Reydon for those continuing to join us from home.

Our website and CoE details of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study, and community life

Diocesan Synod Elections (Laity) needed

The Synod is convened by Rural Dean Revd Rich Henderson and consists of all clergy licensed to our benefice plus elected lay members.  Would you be interested?

The functions of the synod are to discuss and reflect on matters of the Church of England as they affect the deanery. The Synod acts as a forum for the airing of parish views on any common problems. It requires attendance at three Saturday meetings per year, these are usually half days.  Please speak with Revd Alan or Revd Simon.

We are all hoping and praying that Covid restrictions will be lifted as planned on 21st June. Assuming that this happens we are hoping that from Sunday 27th June it will be possible to sing, serve refreshments and mix together in church.

At St. Edmund’s, Southwold  a special messy church at 9.30 on Sunday 27th June.  This will be the first time in over a year that families and children will have felt comfortable in returning to church.

On Sunday 4th July, in anticipated celebration of an end to lockdown, we are planning an All Together Songs of Praise at 11.00 followed by lunch in church.  We hope the whole church family will feel welcome to attend.  If you would be willing to contribute anything for the lunch please let Rev Simon or Joan Goldsmith know, and we will be pleased to have your support.

At St. Andrew’s, Walberswick, Sunday 18th July, a planned Songs of Praises with Afternoon Tea in the Ruins at 3pm.

These services are dependent on an end to lockdown so please pray and watch this space.
