Team News 14 June

Posted on by Tania Birtwistle

From Monday 15th June Southwold, Reydon, Uggeshall and Blythburgh churches will reopen for private individual prayer.

This is in accordance with the relaxation of Government lockdown regulations.

Churches will not be open for tourists or social gatherings, nor for acts of worship at this stage.  Toilets and kitchens will remain closed.

Anyone entering church must wash their hands on entering and leaving.    Everyone must maintain 2 metre social distancing while in the building.  Some parts of the building will have been set aside for private prayer, and will be kept clean.  Other areas inside will remain closed.  Please only sit in the places set aside for private prayer.

As a next step the Government is looking towards permitting funerals and weddings.  These would be limited in the number of persons attending, and we await further guidance regarding when these might be permitted.
