WANGFORD MEN’S BREAKFAST – Saturday 22nd September at THE PLOUGH Wangford.

Our speaker is Vicki Doy talking about the role of The Voluntary Help Centre in the Southwold Area.

 8.45 am for 9 am £10 FOR A FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST OR £6  FOR A LIGHTER BREAKFAST.

The Osiligi Maasai Warrior Troupe will perform, in concert at St. Edmund’s Church Southwold on Tuesday 2nd October at 7.pm. ENTRY IS FREE, WITH A RETIRING COLLECTION
STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY – 14 October 2018 In preparation for our Stewardship Campaign ‘Growing in Generosity’ please pick up a copy of ‘Generous God, Generous People’ at the back of church which provides a series of daily Bible readings for five weeks on the subject of Christian Giving.  Please pray for the success of our campaign across the Sole Bay Team.

 

Revd. Judy Miller is being licensed to Sole Bay Team at Evensong in Walberswick on 14th October at 6pm when Archdeacon Ian will be preaching and leading the licensing part of the service. 

 

 3rd November “Fighting for Freedom” A concert by the Amnesty Chorale

7.30pm Holy Trinity Church, Blythburgh. Tickets £10 (£7 concessions) available on the door.

An evening of music and readings commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War, and marking other struggles against oppression in the last hundred years. Proceeds from the concert will go to Amnesty International. The programme will include the “Agnus Dei” from Britten’s War Requiem, Vaughan Williams “Serenade to Music” and an extract from the Verdi Requiem with Sarah Gallop, ex-Wenhaston resident, as soloist. The choir will be conducted by Ellis Bell, director of the Blythburgh Singers, and Richard Brain, Director of Music at Christ Church, Southgate in north London.
