There will be a box in the back of St. Edmund’s Church for donations of books & bric a brac for the Mission Stall which is taking place on 1st August.


Thursday 21st July Southwold Vicarage Garden Party 3pm to 5pm.  You are welcome to come along for afternoon tea, for friendship and fellowship.  No charge, just donations to help cover costs.


Saturday July 23rd Men’s Breakfast at The Angel Inn

The speaker this month is Charlotte Clark (Southwold Library) talking about the library service in the area. The cost is £10 for a full English Breakfast and £6 for a Continental Breakfast. ‘Open Church Weekend at St. Nicholas Wrentham’. Over the weekend 23rd& 24th July, there will be a Creative Arts Festival. Do come and see a large display of quilting, patchwork, needlecraft, costume design, painting, wood craft, glass blowing to stitching cards, local history and MUCH MORE, including some live music. Light refreshments available. Admission is free to this special event. Open from 11.00a.m. to 5p.m. on both days. Everyone is welcome to this ‘Exhibition of Delights’.


The Annual Flower Festival and Meadow Sale at St. Lawrence Church South Cove, begins on Saturday, 30th July and will be open daily from 11am to 5pm. until Tuesday 2nd August. Admission is free and light refreshments are available There will be beautifully arranged flowers on the theme ‘The Elements’ to view and much to browse over and purchase in the marquees. A ticketed Preview Evening is being held on Friday 29th. July from 6pm to 8.30pm with wine and canapés available, all for £3. Tickets are available from Alice Eastaugh 01502 675228 and Alison Evans 01502 675610. There is something for all the family.


Weekend of 31st July & 7th August 2pm to 5pm – Uggeshall Teas

The ever-popular Uggeshall Country Teas will be held on the last weekend in July and the first weekend of August 2016 from 2pm to 5pm. Set in idyllic surroundings of the orchard and garden of the Old School in Uggeshall. Traditional home-made drop scones, breads, Suffolk rusks and delicious forget-the-waistline cakes, all served with freshly-made pots of tea.

Proceeds go towards maintenance of St. Mary’s Church, the Old School and local charities.


Sunday 31st July 11am, Blessing of the Animals Service at Holy Trinity Blythburgh. Bring your pet to be blessed.  All creatures great and small very welcome.
