Services will be live streamed via YouTube from St Margaret, Reydon for those continuing to join us from home.

Volunteers To help with Young People and Children’s Work It was sadly announced this year that the Scripture Union Beach Mission will no longer take place in Southwold.  Churches Together do not have the resources to replicate the Beach Mission but we would like to work together to offer something for Young People, e.g. like the former Tuesday Club at the URC or a half term holiday club etc.  In today’s safeguarding climate nothing is possible without a team of willing volunteers suitably trained.  If you are interested in helping in any way (age is no barrier) please let Rev Simon or Rev Alan know.  If we can gather a team of interested volunteers from across the churches in Southwold the idea is that we would meet together soon to agree what might be possible.  Please do pray about this, for leaders, volunteers and our young people.

Wednesday 29th September Churches Together Afternoon Tea in St Edmunds. 3pm to 5pm It was not possible to hold Lent lunches in 2021 and therefore there was no opportunity to raise funds to support charities.  Churches Together therefore invite you to afternoon tea in St Edmunds to celebrate the Feast of St Michael and All Angels.  If anyone can help by providing scones or cake that would be great.  Donations will be given to charity, hopefully to support Afghan refugees who have arrived in the UK with nothing to sustain or support themselves.

The Ladies fellowship will be visiting each church in the Sole Bay Team ministry to pray for each community, church family and individuals. We will meet at 2.30pm on each of the Wednesday’s below

Oct 6 –   Uggeshall            Oct 13 –   Southwold     Oct 27 – South Cove

November 3 – Reydon        Nov 17 – Wangford       Nov 24 – Walberswick

December 1 – tea and mince pies, Chruch Rooms, Reydon

Please join us to pray. Bring a flask of tea and some biscuits and enjoy the fellowship. For more information or prayer requests please contact Suzzie Godfrey 0753951375

Christians Together are offering a new series of Bible Study groups starting in the week beginning 4 October.  There will be four groups, at different locations and times, to suit as many people as possible. You can find full details on posters in your church.  Groups will be studying the First Letter of Peter over six weeks, using a course published by the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity (cost £5). Please sign up by Friday 24 September using the sheet in each church, or you can contact Judy Overy direct (tel 01502 724459; j.overy@btinternet.com) All welcome!
