CHARITY QUIN IN CONCERT NEXT FRIDAY NOVEMBER 1 SOUTHWOLD URC AT 7.30PM

Charity (wife of Rev. Charles Croll) will be singing some songs from her new album at the URC on November 1. Free Admission with a retiring collection.

ALL SOULS’ SERVICE – SUNDAY 3 NOVEMBER. ST MARGARET’S REYDON AT 3PM

All are welcome to attend this service where we will remember by name all those who have died and especially those in the past year, whose funerals we were privileged to officiate.  Please pass any names that you wish to be read out to the Vicar or Churchwardens.

 

WANGFORD QUIZ NIGHT: WEDNESDAY 6 NOVEMBER. 

7.15pm at Wangford Community Centre.  In aid of the Church Restoration Fund.  Teams of 4. Cost is £7.50 that includes a Seppings’ Hotdog Supper and dessert.  Please really try to support this event. Tables can be booked via Edna 578311;  Gill 578062; Sue 578007.

 

REYDON CINEMA IN ST MARGARET’S CHURCH The next showing of the touching and funny film ‘The Bucket List’ starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson will be on Thursday 14 November at 2pm. Minimum donation of £2 towards refreshments. All welcome!

 

Sotherton Church Annual Quiz night is on Saturday 23rd November

7pm at Wangford Community Centre.  £5.00 per person with a maximum of 6 people per team.  Bring your  own drink with nibbles provided.  Raffle on the night.  All proceeds go to the church.

CONCERT TO MARK THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON OF ADVENT: SUNDAY 30 NOVEMBER AT 7.30PMThe highly renowned Abbot Consort are going to perform a concert to mark the beginning of the Season of Advent in St Peter & St Paul Wangford on 30th November at 7.30pm.  The Choir will be conducted by Martin Bagnall and accompanied by Christopher Moore.   Entry is free with a retiring collection for The Church Raise the Roof Appeal and ‘Maggie’s Cambridge’ which works to support people living with cancer.  Martin Bagnall conducted the memorable Evensong in Wangford last year. All welcome.

 

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD There are lots of Shoeboxes waiting to be filled at St Margaret’s Church. Across the Sole Bay Team we managed to fill 127 boxes last year and hope to increase our number this year. Please ring Sue Puddifoot on 07740 286553 for more information. Last date for collection will be November 18th. Unfortunately no toothpaste or sweets can be included this year. Thank you.
