SOLE BAY LADIES FELLOWSHIP
The Ladies Fellowship would like to invite all the ladies of all the churches in the Sole Bay Team to an afternoon of Tea and Mince pies, at 2pm on Wednesday 5th December at St Andrews church, Walberswick. We can share our exciting news for next year, and explain what we will be studying.
Service of 9 Lessons and Carols on Sunday, 9th December at 3.00p.m. at St. Lawrence South Cove. Seasonal refreshments will be available following the service. All are welcome to come and share in these celebrations.
FUNERAL AND THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR THE LIFE OF THE LATE SIDI SCOTT
The funeral of the late Sidi Scott will take place at Chilterns Crematorium, Whielden Lane, Amersham HP7 0ND on Monday 17 December at 2.45pm. Anyone from Solebay is welcome to attend, There will also be a Service to Celebrate Sidi’s life in Wangford on January 12 at 2.30pm. Please hold Sidi, her family and her many friends in your prayers at this time.
THE JUBILATE CHOIR IS COMING TO SOLE BAY
There will be a special service of Evensong at St Peter & St Paul, Wangford on Sunday 17 February at 6pm. The renowned Jubilate Choir, conducted by Martyn Bagnall will be leading our worship. Please tell as many people as possible about this wonderful opportunity to hear the choir, who are widely known throughout Suffolk.
PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND: MAY 2020
You are invited to join Reverend Alan and Canon Simon on a 10 day pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine from Monday 25 May – Wednesday 3 June 2020. Among the many highlights, we will visit the place of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem, the place of his death and resurrection in Jerusalem, the River Jordan and the Galilee where most of Jesus’ ministry took place and also the Dead Sea and Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. The price of £2095 per person includes return flights from London Luton to Tel Aviv, accommodation in good quality hotels in twin bedded rooms on a half board basis, fully guided sightseeing tour with an English speaking guide, in a fully air conditioned coach, all entrance fees and gratuities. A meeting will take place on Wednesday 6 February at 7pm in St Margaret’s Reydon for people interested in the tour. Please be aware places are limited.
