TUESDAYS IN LENT – STATIONS OF THE CROSS. ST MARGARET, REYDON.

At St Margaret’s Reydon during Lent there will be the usual simple 6.30pm Communion Service but we will also be using the 5 weeks of Lent to reflect on The Stations of the Cross in Art.  All welcome.

THE BOHEMIAN UNIVERSITY CHOIR CONCERT SATURDAY 6 APRIL ST EDMUND KING & MARTYR, SOUTHWOLD AT 6PM. The Bohemian Choir from the University of Liberec will be performing a concert in St Edmund’s Church, Southwold on Saturday 6 April. The concert is entitled ‘I’ll Take That One’, referring to the evacuation of children during wartime.  Each concert is one hour long and includes contemporary and classical choral pieces. Stopford, Esenvalds, Dvorak and Smetana are some of the composers featured. The students also perform readings telling true stories of evacuation in England and the Czech Republic. They will tell the story of the Czech children who were taken to safety in Britain thanks to Nicholas Winton, and also stories of children who were evacuated from London. All stories are true and the authors of some are still alive, some seventy years after the Second World War.  Entrance is free with a retiring collection.

FUNDRAISING PLANT STALL – SATURDAY 4 MAY OUTSIDE OLD LLOYDS BANK BUILDING, SOUTHWOLD. St Margaret’s Reydon are having a Plant Stall in aid of Amasango Career School, South Africa and (EACH) East Anglian Children’s Hospice.  Summer bedding plants in trays and perennials and tomatoes in pots available.
