OPEN GARDEN AND AFTERNOON TEA – TODAY

Open Garden and Tea, Bridge Foot Farm between 2-5pm.  Donations to St Margaret’s two charities – Amasango Career School in Grahamstown, South Africa and Mission to Seafarers. All welcome.

 

REYDON CINEMA AT ST MARGARET’S CHURCH – THURSDAY 11 JULY AT 2PM

After our successful launch of the Reydon Community Cinema last month, our next film will be “Hidden Figures”.  A film about three African-American women at NASA who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. Charge £2 for refreshments.  All Welcome!

 

Sole Bay Team Ladies Fellowship meets every Wednesday at 2pm in the church room at St Margaret’s Church, Reydon, for informal bible study, praise and prayer, friendship and fellowship, and tea and biscuits. All ladies are welcome! We are hosting tea and cake on Wednesday 10 July at 2pm and we would love it if you could come along. For more information please contact Suzzie Godfrey (07539 5137530)

 

South Cove Flower Festival and Exhibition

Opens with a ticketed Preview Evening 6pm – 8pm cost of ticket £5 (includes wine, soft drinks & nibbles) on Friday 26th July and closes on the afternoon of Tuesday 30th July. There will be a tapestry of floral displays and an exhibition in church of ‘all things South Cove. In place of the Meadow Sale, there will be a large Book Sale, a Plant Stall and a Preserve Stall in the marquee. The renowned homemade refreshments, including a range of full cream dairy ice-creams, will be available daily.

On Sunday evening 28th July at 7pm  Yalda Davis has very kindly agreed to give a ‘cello recital in church. Refreshments will be served from 6.30p.m. onwards with a Retiring Collection at the end of the evening.

We are a small community and any offers of help. WANTED: books, plants and preserves, please. These can be left in Church or the marquee. NO Bric a Brac this year.

A JAZZ EVENING IN MEMORY OF SIDI SCOTT – SATURDAY 14 SEPTEMBER. ST PETER & ST PAUL, WANGFORD AT 7.30PM

In memory of Sidi, Martin Smith (Sidi’s son in law) and his Jazz Band, the Jazz Goats will be performing in St Peter & St Paul, Wangford on Saturday 14 September.  Tickets including a licensed bar are £10.  All funds raised will go towards the Church Restoration Fund.  Tickets are available now through Southwold Arts Centre (tel: 01502 722572) www.ticketsource.co.uk or Rev Alan.
