St Edmunds Re Roofing
Work starts on Tuesday 6th January 2015 to repair the roof at St Edmunds. This is a major piece of work, costing in excess of £400k. The work includes replacing the life expired copper roof, removing any rotten timbers, repairs to stonework and improved gutters and drains. In January scaffolding will be erected inside and outside the church.
During January the church will be closed both for visitors and for worship. We plan to hold our services in St Edmunds Hall or alternative venues at the usual times. After January we will move back into church but until the end of September we will only be able to use the south aisle and the Lady Chapel. Please keep everyone at St Edmunds in your prayers at this time as we look to protect this important building for future generations.
- 18th January services will be in St. Edmund’s Hall
- 25th January the Methodist church are welcoming us for worship
- Messy Church will move to St Edmunds Hall until at least September.
