Honorary Canon St. Edmundsbury Cathedral – Revd. Simon Pitcher will be installed as a Honorary Canon during the 3.30pm Evensong at the Cathedral on Sunday 20th November.


Tuesday 22nd November – Community Coffee Morning will run at St. Edmund’s Hall from 10am to 12.30pm.  All most welcome.

Midweek Matinees – ‘The Book Thief’ on 23rd November at St. Margaret’s Church, Reydon. Film starts at 2pm with tea & coffee from 1.30pm

Men’s Breakfast Group – Saturday 26th November at The Angel Inn at 0845 for 0900.

The speaker’s topic this month is Alternative Medical Therapies by Brian Jolley. He has said it is wide ranging so perhaps includes acupuncture, aromatherapy, hypnotism, reflexology, osteopathy, physiotherapy, faith healing, or it has been hinted – hairdressing!!  The cost is £10 for a full English Breakfast and £6 for a Continental Breakfast. Holy Trinity Blythburgh – Christmas Market, Saturday 26 November, 12-4pm.  A cornucopia of stalls selling Christmas gifts and decorations, local crafts, plants and wreaths, food and drink and much more will solve your Christmas gift dilemmas. Mulled wine and mince pies, home-made soups, cakes and tea/coffee will also be on offer.


Christians Together Advent Festival.

Christians Together will be holding an Advent Festival on Saturday 26th November from 12 noon at The United Reformed Church, High St. Southwold as part of the Southwold Lights Switch on event. There will be Advent displays by the local churches, children’s and youth groups plus refreshments, annual Angel Quest and competition. Admission is free but there will be a charity collection for the Salvation Army.


Sunday 27 November – Advent Carol Service will be held at 6pm at St. Edmund’s, Southwold


Team Party – There will be a Sole Bay Team party on Friday 13th January in St Edmunds Hall, 7.00 for 7.30.  Please put the date in your diaries and further details will follow on pew sheets.

MUSIC at ST MARGARET’S  Advance notice!  The Blyth Five Singers will be performing a fund-raising concert for us on Sunday, 22nd January at 3pm.  Tickets available in the New Year from Sarah Britten, £7.50 in advance, £8.00 on the door.
