Lent begins on Ash Wednesday on February 10th.  There will be a Team Service 7.30pm at St. Margaret’s, Reydon.


Lent Lunches – in St. Edmund’s Hall, Southwold. A soup lunch will be served from 12.30pm until 2.30pm – Friday 12th February until 18th March. Do come and join us.


Also in Lent there will be a return of the Churches Together Lent Lectures.  This year we will be exploring some of the ethical challenges that are before us in the world at the moment.

Lectures will be at 6pm in Southwold URC. We hope you will join us.

During Lent there will be a programme of Lent study courses held jointly with all local churches under the Christians Together umbrella.  The theme of the “York Course” that we will be using this year is “The Psalms.  Prayers for Today’s Church”.  Groups 1 to 5 start Monday 15 Feb, Group 6 starts Friday 12 Feb.

Revd Rich Henderson will be licensed as Priest in Charge of Beccles on Friday 26th February, 7.30pm at St.Michael’s Parish Church, Beccles.


Installation ServiceSaturday 27 February, 3.30pm at St Edmundsbury Cathedral
A celebration of mission to welcome Revd Canon Dr Mike Harrison and his family and mark the start of his ministry among us as our next Bishop of Dunwich.  The service will be based around the ‘Growing in God’ Diocesan vision for growth, and will include music and prayers for all ages and traditions. Take time out of the day-to-day bustle to meet with fellow Christians to have a short study, prayer and a time of quiet reflection followed by afternoon tea. Christians Together are running a Still Waters; a time of study, quiet and reflection. A session for each Season;.

Session 2. Monday 25th April  – The Cross – The Holiness of God.

Session 3. Monday 18th July – The Cross – The Power of God.

Session 4. Monday 17th October – Reconciliation with God.

Sessions start at 2.30pm at 19 Lakeside Park Drive, Reydon.

All proceeds for church funds.


Saturday, Feb 27th Table-Top & Craft Sale at the Millennium Hall, Southwold – 10am – 3pm.

Saturday, April 9th Quiz & Jacket Night at Reydon Village Hall.

The Henry Hallam Memorial Trophy Quiz & Jacket night will take place at Reydon Village Hall on Saturday, 9th April 2016, starting at 7pm.

Tickets cost £7.50 per head, please bring your own drink & glasses.
